What creative souls read my blog, and just like the two bulbs, above, you are resilient.
That’s what I think when I read your comments. I am humbled that you stop by and visit, leaving your thoughts like tasty crumbs of the best carrot cake. From all of the comments for the seed and book giveaway, I believe the next generation is in good and caring hands. I was overwhelmed by the response, so I resorted to the random number generator. It chose No. 36 which means Jennie from Daftly Smitten won the seeds and the book, but I want you to know I read every comment. Thank you for entering.
Congratulations Jennie! Although she was picked by random, I wanted you to read what she wrote:
“Kids love pizza. Telling them that they can “grow their own pizza toppings” can be a great introduction to gardening, especially since tomatoes, peppers and herbs are not too difficult to grow. Of course you have to add the dough and cheese, but there are all sorts of vegetables kids will try if they a) have grown them on their own and b) they get to put them on a pizza!”
One of the great things about writing this blog is getting to visit others who are writing, photographing, cooking, and decorating in their own unique style. I had another opportunity to do that recently when I nominated and then voted on the Okie Blog Awards. I went to each blog nominated and read a couple of entries. Such wonderful and creative folks.
Just like you.
I’m bustin’ my buttons to tell you that RDR was nominated and voted a runner up for Best Single Topic Blog. Thanks to all of the Oklahoma bloggers who voted for me. I had some great competition. Congratulations to Bookgasm for winning in our category. If you get a chance to visit the winners, you’ll see some inspired and inventive writing.

And I must say that I love your tulip photo. The bright green amongst all the brown, dead winter debris is a wonderful promise of spring to come…
