Of the Fiskars family of garden helpers, the PowerGear® tools are my favorites. When Fiskars gave me the opportunity to give away anything I wanted from the PowerGear® line, I chose the following:
Item: 377363-1002, UltraBlade® PowerGear® Bypass Pruner; I don’t have these, but I’d enjoy them. Hint, hint Fiskars!
Item 7937, PowerGear® Bypass Pruner; I use a pair of these everyday;
Item 9619, PowerGear® 17 Inch Bypass Loppers; okay, this is my best tool for getting into those tricky rose pruning jobs. They are just the right size, and I don’t get scratched as often.
For bigger jobs, I like Item 9632, the 27-inch,PowerGear® Bypass loppers; and
Finally, Item 9619,PowerGear® Hedge Shears, which are new to me this year, but I use them for trimming decorative grasses and cutting back perennial herbs among other things.
At retail, this prize package is worth approximately $178.00.
To win these cool tools, please leave a comment below. If you have a Twitter or facebook account, would you mind tweeting or sharing this post too? That will give you a second, or even a third chance to win if you spread the love. Be sure to give an additional comment for each time you tweet or facebook this post so that it will be easier to count. Winners will be chosen based upon a random number generator. I hope you win.
Note: I write for Fiskars, and I do receive free tools as part of my benefit package. However, I did get to pick those tools I wanted to give away, so the above ones are all favorites of mine except for the pruner I haven’t yet tried.
Oh, and one more thing, the contest is over next week on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Midnight. Thanks!
I LOVE my Fiskars power gear bypass pruners and the power stroke long handle pruner/saw. Can’t imagine how I ever lived without them. I’m always having to point my friends to where they can buy their own and stop borrowing mine.
I look forward to your “Ramblings”. We could always use new tools in Gnomeville!!!
Can’t wait to see your garden this summer!!
We need to come up with dates. My daylilies will be at top bloom a week after yours in town. 🙂
I actually came by to ask you if peonies will grow in Oklahoma about zone 7a. Would you believe I didn’t know what a peony was until two months ago when I signed up to a popular social network? I found you there, too. While I’m at it another tweet is in order for a “last minute” contest is always exciting for folks. If I win some Fun Fiskars PowerGear it would be nice, but I’m just glad to know you have peonies growing in your garden according to your latest post. Blessings bon https://twitter.com/#!/boniferous
Yes, yes they will. I have about twelve or fifteen plants altogether, and I love each and every one of them. Thanks for the tweets and such.
It’s a beautiful day today. Would love some new Fiskers right about now!
Oh, I would love to have those tools! Could I also have an extra day added to every week to spend in the garden?
The hedge shears sure would make my chores easier!
Fiskar’s tools are awesome…..my garden hopes I win!

What a great giveaway, these would be awesome to use in my garden!
Dear Dee,
I’m a complete newbie in gardening. I’ve lived most of life in apartments (not in the U.S.) and since we bought our house last year I had never tried gardening except in containers. It’s funny how I buy my garden tools one by one based on my needs (haven’t bought loppers, shears and stuff yet!). My latest addition is a mattock to dig around my old pear tree. I’m having a lot to learn from your website and put in practice! Thanks!
Fiskars makes some cool tool–and even have Tennessee orange handles!
If you could only see what I hack my shrubbery with. Sure would help save my poor mutilated plants In desperate need of some Fiskars!
Love fiskars & my backyard flower garden!
Posted on Facebook too.
Tweeted your post. 🙂
My first Fiskars tool were my left handed pruners which work really great being that I am left handed. Next came a pair of loppers and a pruning saw. They are all used on a regular basis being that I have 300 plus roses in my landscape. TAke it from me and get yours today
Love Fiskars, inside and outside.
Good to see you to other night! I love all of your beatiful flowers Dee!
for good measure i’m commenting again. last weekend my hand pruners sprung the spring and i can’t find it. if i don’t win i’m going to buy the fiskars brand. surely to goodness it’ll last longer than any of my previous pruners.
Oh I’ve much pruning to do. My hair is oh so very long.
i love to work in the yard and garden now. I love your posts. They motivate me. Thanks for sharing your love of gardening.

Holy moly, what a great giveaway! I was helping clear trails at my childhood summer camp this weekend and left my big loppers somewhere on the grounds. Didn’t think about it until I was home and unloading the car–and the 1.5 hour drive won’t fit in after work. I could certainly use all of these products (and won’t take them to camp next time)!
I tweeted about this contest!

That looks like a great pack of tools! My tool chest could definitely use a re-fresh!
I love bypass pruners. Great prize for the contest.
How can I not Tweet such a beautiful site? I pity those who haven’t the time, ya know? Blessings to you.
How wonderful I stopped by Red Dirt Ramblings. Then, I found out about the Fun Fiskars PowerGear® tool giveaway by Dee Nash on April 18, 2012. Your garden looks exquisite. I too am cherishing what little I have in what little time of spring is left ever wondering if the heat wave will start tomorrow. The infestations have been atrocious and moisture seems to add a sense of impending doom but every minute is worth it. My daughter gathers an allotment of sweet pea blooms every day or receives a rose or two from the neighbor. Next year we hope to have peonies and many more bearded Irises to choose from. Any tips to help provide blooms from the daffodils? They seems to be encouraged by having a warm background as in the siding of the house or a tree trunk. It fakes the soil into being warm, I guess? I need to divvy up the bulbs and give them more room, drag some out from under the shade and set the bulbs at the right height. But how to keep them from sinking from the clay and dirt movement? Indeed, fulfilling the dreams in hopes I, too, can have a full garden such as yours (for minimizing weeds, of course ;)).
Boy, could I use some new tools! Been in my garden all day and love looking at your beautiful blooms!
Hope your Japanese Maple recovers–mine is my favorite things in my garden.
Would love to win me some new gadgets!! And very handy looking ones indeed!
Wow! I’m moving from the city to the country next month, so these would be great! Love your blog!
I told my FB friends and tweeted that Dee Nash of Oklahoma is giving away Fiskar products. If I don’t win, maybe I can borrow tools from a friend. Ha!
Ok, I just tweeted, Google +’ed and spread it on Facebook 🙂
Ever since coming from Australia to Oklahoma, where I have now made my home (just became a citizen, yeah!) I have always followed your blog. Thanks Dee.
Those tools would go along way to help on my journey as an avid gardener.
I shared it on Google+ also…not that I want to entice more people into commenting!
Put my name in the hat, too! I have to add a plug for Fiskars. I have some small pruners (I forget which kind they are) from Fiskars that suddenly were hard to use. When I looked closely, I realized the spring between the handles was missing. I checked the Fiskars website and discovered they had a lifetime guarantee. I emailed them, and they promptly sent me a new spring free of charge. Voila! I’m back in pruning business:) In these days of disposable everything, I have to give kudos to a company who actually has replacement parts for its products and gives such excellent customer service.
I just read your previous post….Beautiful story, beautiful garden, and a beautiful life.
oh, awesome, AWESOME giveaway Dee. Very generous of Fiskars & you. The few gardening tools of theirs I own have been terrific ~ thanks for the chance to win more!
I’m in, I’m in! Thanks for the contest.
Count me in……
Nice scissors!
Since I am a voracious gardener, this would be a wonderful gift! Thanks for the chance to win these fabulous tools. Happy gardening! All the best, with fingers crossed, Sonji Nalley

Sweet Mary to Betsy, have you seen my yard??? If anyone is in need of tools, it is I. Do we need to plead our case, or does that not make a difference?

Hi Dee,
Well, I feel a little better knowing even the rock stars of the gardening world are having tree troubles this spring. The maple still looks pretty good compared to most!

I discovered you a couple of weeks ago and can’t get enough. I bought a house last summer in NE OK and am truly enjoying working in my yard. Someday I would love my yard to look like yours. Sometimes I think I think I may have “lopped” off more than I can handle for the first year. Speaking of lopped, I would love to win that tool package. It sure beats what I am trying to get by with. Love ya!!!
Boy do I need new pruners! The handle is broken on my large one and the spring on the smaller. Thank you for this opportunity and the great blog! Peace, Sophia
I am a new subscriber to your blog, but I would love to win these new Fiskars tools.

From one Okie to another, I sure would like to win those pruners.
Love Fiskars products. Well-made and easy to use.
