I particularly love the photo of the violas poking through the snow. 🙂

Thank you Jo for reminding. The snow is gone now. We have rain today, but the flowers need it to grow.~~Dee

Oh yes, Happy Spring, Dee! (You have as many snow photos as I have this year!)

At least your snow pictures have color even if they are drooping cold flowers. I just stepped out my back door and snapped a few pics. I’m so glad it has already melted. Looking forward to a nice day tomorrow. Spring cleaning starts here! Have a great week Dee!

You must be darn tired of that snow. Especially if things had just started popping up. We had a very weird first day of spring as well – snow flurries almost all day, windy and cold. It was weird to see the pear blossom petals mixing in with the snowflakes. But it had been way too warm for anything to stick. Maybe you just had your last hurrah with the snow (positive thinking…).

I am feeling your “snow pain” as we still have several feet to go before it’s all gone. Spring is still taking a dirt nap. Not even any little snow covered pansies here. (Insert a big sigh)

I like the pictures, but I don’t envy you the snow, Dee. I’m fully in spring mode and ready for warm weather. Can’t believe I’m saying that, but after this winter it’s true.

Wow; it does seem odd sometimes to see southern gardens with snow when I have none. But I agree with Kathy. You’ll have lots lots more than me in a couple weeks. I am very jealous of the witch hazel!

Happy Spring! I just read that Oklahoma had the 8th coldest winter on record. May spring be warm and sunny!

I don’t have snow, but I don’t have violas blooming, either. I think, on balance, your spring will be here in all its glory before mine will.

I know you could have used an early spring to get that new garden in. Sorry bout the snow (but your photos are great). Dee, one of these days we are going to be shocked and our early spring will really come and stay.

It’s a winter wonderland! So confusing, I’m sure, for the plants and the gardeners. Hang in there, you’ll be sweating through the summer before you know it (hopefully)

I posted this to my fb page cause I wasn’t up to writing a post just yet. I knew you had snow–but that witch hazel is so cool looking. And I wanted to brag about your new look–well new to me. Your blog is very cheery and what a clever design. I love it.

Oh my, you were hit with that big snow too. The snow does make the yellow of the Witch Hazel stand out. Poor little chickens. I bet they thought spring had arrived and look what happened to them.
