Jumped in a pile of leaves lately?

When was the last time, you raked up a large pile of leaves, getting the heart pumping, and the other muscles working?  Then, once that pile was finished and ready to shred and place in the compost pile, what did you do?

Did you drop your rake and jump right in?

Why not?  Too busy, too tired, just too . . . ?

When did we forget to be spontaneous like children?

Starting with Thanksgiving and moving through Advent, this is the season of gratitude, peace and love.

Joy
Joy

Oh, and don’t forget.  Joy.

Happy Advent everyone.  May you find room in your heart for that babe in the manger so long ago.  If you celebrate another holiday this time of year, may you also find:  Joy, Peace, Love, and most of all, Gratitude.  It is the savory seasoning which brings the rest of those emotions into being.

My wish for you this Advent is to find joy.  Just don’t forget to look.

Your wishes for advent are so appropriate. We tend to rush about this time of year and forget to feel joy and gratitude. Good post.

Oh, the gleeful memories! Now with a mulching mower, it just isn’t the same! Our autumn and leaves are memories now, too. Moving on in the seasons. They seem to come and go too rapidly. I’m putting the breaks on right now for this season to stretch it out lovingly. Nice post!

Peace and love to you this Advent season. I love jumping into piles of leaves. However I don’t rake much any more. I just mulch them and blow them into flower beds.

And so the waiting begins. I love Advent and wish I did a better job of focusing on it rather than all the hub-bub around us today!

    Peace be with you!
