Botanical Interests wants to give you some soap

Okay, so you went outside this morning and worked yourself into a lather ripping the errant Bermuda grass out of your neglected roadside garden . . . .

No, wait, that was me.

Good thing I had some Gardener’s Scrubbing Soap from my dear friends at Botanical Interests. Like all the participants at the garden blogger meetup called Buffa10, I received a free bar in my goodie bag. Now, Botanical Interests wants to give a bar to one of you. It is lovely. The scrubbing comes from poppy seeds, and it softly smells of herbal yumminess. On days like today when I’m covered head to toe in grunge, I use it to gently scrub away all the dirt I’ve accumulated. I love good soap, and this one, according to BI’s website, is made of healthy things like:
“Saponified organic palm kernel oil, organic sunflower oil, organic virgin coconut oil, organic cocoa butter, organic shea butter, organic flax seed oil, french green clay, poppy seeds, sweet basil essential oil (fragrance), titanium dioxide (natural colorant), and rosemary oleoresin (natural preservative).”

I will say this, it lasts a very long time in the shower and still smells good almost a month after I started using it.

To receive your free bar, just comment below. If you tweet or facebook this contest, put down another sweet comment telling me so. I’ve made it easy for you with the “share” button below. The winner will be chosen by a random number generator, so the more you share, the more chances you have to win.

Contest ends next Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Noon CST. Be sure to give me your email address so I can hook you with the lovely Shayna or Judith at BI.

Good luck.

These types of soap are pretty good. I got a free sample from a coworker who makes, or at least made, soap as a business. She still makes some for friends but no longer massproduces any.
Poppies are a really good idea for scrubbing agents although I haven’t had many seeds from the ones I planted.
