If you visit around their site, you’ll find other great articles by many different garden writers.

Thanks so much for reading my writing wherever it may be.

I’m pretty new to daylilies and this addiction called gardening, but I can see you obviously have a talent for combining daylilies with other plants, objects and structures in your garden – something I am trying to learn. Your gardens are gorgeous! I will look forward to reading your writings and seeing your pictures in the future.

You read my mind. Traveling leaves me anxious, mainly for what I’m leaving behind. Almost have my drip irrigation up and running, though, so maybe my newly planted stuff will survive my absence…

And those are indeed lovely daylilies.

I ask dear friends to watch over the garden and wish for rainy days.

Great tips as usual Dee, and so timely as I’m about to go away to a camp in a different state to be a cook for “junior high week”!
Although, I have an irrigation system and family will be at the house, I’m always a little anxious about the gardens.
Are those your chickens in the photo?
    Lovely ladies!

A beautiful daylily, Dee! Mine are just beginning to bloom.

Great tips for vacationing gardeners. I often leave on little trips by myself, leaving non-gardening Hubby in charge, which is not a good idea:) Last year I lost some tomato seedlings to frost in May. This year while we were gone for a week for Daughter’s wedding, I asked my oldest son, who used to work for a landscape company, to keep an eye on things–he’ll definitely be my first choice from now on. He didn’t weed, but everything was watered and still alive when I got back, which is enough to keep me happy.

Hi Rose, yes, if they water the plants and keep them from dying, I am uber happy. I can pull the weeds when I return. Nope, my sweet husband is great at building things, but not tending to plants. Not his style. Thanks so much for stopping by. I remember your posts on your daughter’s wedding.
