Up and down

Up and down, the weather forecast for many of a day of late. Yesterday, it was frosty out on the pumpkin. Today, pretty warm. This weekend, warmer by far. However, next week we’re told we’ll need to pull the sweaters out of our cedar chests and cover our cold bodies.

So, while it’s nice, I’ll be outside today planting bulbs.

Then, after a long hot shower to wash away those aches and pains, I’m taking in a movie (one Harry Potter) with Bear, NGBF, Aimee, and her daughter and son. We’re going to have popcorn, candy, cokes and loads of fun watching Harry and his band attempt to defeat the evil Voldemort.

Once home, I’ll attempt to vanquish the evil laundry which rises beast-like from the hamper. If I’m not back in a day or two, send out the requisite search party.

On another subject, what do you think of Martha’s new iPad app for the magazine? I’d like to know.

Me? I think it’s da bomb, and now I want an iPad for Christmas.

I’m waiting for the weather to dry up abit so I can get some digging down. Hope you enjoyed the film (and the popcorn!)

Dee, I think your laundry beast has a twin over here in South Carolina. 😉 We have a similar weather forecast, too. Enjoy it while you can, and definitely have fun getting your hands dirty!

I saw Harry on Friday because I’m such a geek I couldn’t wait. But I shan’t say a word. True fans must experience it all for themselves (and it’s not as if you need to worry about spoilers if you’ve read the book…)

What’s the name of that plant in the photo, with variegated leaf and yellow buttons?

Yes, the thermometer is yo yo’ing here too. It hasn’t been very warm though. I am about to go into the “hope the sun shines” mode. We are going to see Harry tonight too. I can’t wait.

The laundry is DH’s domain so I don’t have to worry about that … I am daunted by all the clutter that seems to be increasing exponentially, though. So I went outside and planted some cool-season annuals. Much more fun!

Have a good time at the movies~I love HP and hope the movie lives up to the book! It’s going to be in the 70s tomorrow! A good day to plant bulbs and enjoy the last of the flowers. I have no idea where laundry come from~Even in my empty-nest household it grows exponentially! xxgail

Cold rainy weather hit here today…there will be no gardening. Harry Potter sounds like a fun way to offset the laundry. I hope you have a great day!

Dear Dee, Just returned from a trip to find that my husband has accrued an enormous amount of laundry. On top of the hamper he left me a gift … It is a wooden sign picturing an old-fashioned maid with a basket of laundry. The sign says, Loads of Love. I don’t love those loads of laundry, but I had to smile. Your movie date sounds fun. Enjoy the crazy weather. Pam x

The laundry is a mighty foe, one which I have yet to conquer. We’re on a bit of a weather rollercoaster here too. It’s supposed to be 60 tomorrow, yet a high of 32 on Thanksgiving. Must find the long underwear.

I agree, Martha’s magazine on the iPad is a wonder to behold. I hope Santa has enough stock to bring an iPad, too. Want it.

Your day sounds like it will be great fun!
